Last November 24th 2009, Fundació Roger Torné together with CIBERESP (Centro de Investigación Biomédica en Red de Epidemiología y Salud Pública) organized the lecture “Neurologic development disorders and chemical pollution: the hidden pandemic”
This lecture was held in the frame of a collaboration agreement to undertake investigation researches and INMA strategic action (Childhood and Environment) established by both entities.
The appointment was a unique opportunity to listen to Dr. Philippe Grandjean, scientific eminence in subjects related with epidemiology of development, whose research is focused on the effects on the nervous system caused by the exposure to chemical pollutants. A crucial subject in our society nowadays whose actual implications on people health, and especially on children’s, are quite unknown.
