Presentation of “children’s health and environment: a relationship for life” guide


Next May 3rd, World Asthma Day, at 19:00h, we will launch the guide called “Children’s health and environment: a relationship for life” in CosmoCaixa Barcelona. It is the first guide in Europe regarding this subject and it is addressed to parents; it is based on the scientific research results.

The presentation will include the “Children health and environment: do we know this relationship keys?” talk held by scientists and collaborators in the guide where subjects such as “What is the sense of issuing a guide like this one during the information age? Why is it necessary clarifying that the guide is based on scientific research results? Will the information appearing on the guide be always in force? Why is the guide divided into two field?

To finish, we will close the event with a cocktail for all those present.

 “Children’s health and Environment: a relationship for life” guide

The book is a piece with two clearly differenced parts. On one hand, the guide itself, with ten advises for those parents who want to have prevention on their children’s health regarding the environmental factors; it has been issued by CREAL researchers and it is based on more than 150 scientific researches chosen because of their important contribution on the subject. On the other hand, is has a series of professional articles from different areas who provide their opinion and a transversal vision to the relationship between children’s health and environment.
