Every time more all the countries share in their calendars days with an international connotation. In March, 18th, Fundació Roger Torné joined the World Water Day by celebrating 'Mapendo y el agua'. Although we chose this date for its closeness to the World Water Day, we highlighted the importance of water some months ago with with the call for the Drawing Contest for children and of course with the third number of the Mapendo Collection 'Me llamo Agua', which we are going to present on the 23rd of April, which is also an important day for those who love books and live in Catalonia. Every time more all the countries share in their calendars days with an international connotation. In March, 18th, Fundació Roger Torné joined the World Water Day by celebrating 'Mapendo y el agua'. We here at Fundació Roger Torné feel that the future can be different, but we have to start building it from the present and, in this new social architecture, boys and girls play an important role. For this reason, although the Inspira issue includes excellent articles about water, and although we have done such an intense work in social nettworks, our activity related to water has been orientated mainly to our favourite audience - children- offering to boys and girls spaces and elements to think about this resource, that will get more and more worthy with time, and whose existence depends in an important share of our behaviour and social habits. We believe that this new social architecture is going to depend on our ability to look in a different way at the future. It has to be a different look, able to emphasize those things that are really essential ,that promote behaviours and habits in favour of boys and girls' health and maybe - and I just say 'maybe'- this poetry, transmuted into a tale, can contribute to change the look of this boys and girls that will, in the end, be the men and women of the future. |

Ten reasons to celebrate the success of 'Mapendo and the Water' party |
Gloria Valdivia On the 18th of March we celebrated the traditional Premio Mapendo of Child Drawing delivery party, created to promote reflexion through creativity among child audience. To explain the purpose that we pursued when we held that party, this year we have prepared a manifesto that has been spread through social networks. We have called it 'Manifiesto Mapendo' and it is a decalogue with ten points. These are also ten reasons to celebrate the success of this call. Read at the web |

'Drawing should be a kingdom during childhood' |

Marta Rosés Marta Rosés declares in this interview that 'speaking to Mabel Pièrola is like crossing the tunnel of time and placing oneself in that moment in childhood when we used to enjoy fairy tales'. Our collaborator captures in this article the moving words of the author and illustrator of 'Me llamo Agua', third of the Mapendo Tales, that is being presented next 23d of April, Saint George's Day, at Sant Pere de Vilamajor. | Word Water Day: The need of promoting the responsible and efficient use of this scant resource | ||
Oriol Lladó Considering that the World Day of Water is close, our collaborator Oriol Lladó has gathered in this article data, good practice, advice and a lot of information about entities and organisations that work for a better, more efficient and responsible, use of such a scarce resource. Among them, there is Fundació Roger Torné, which has devoted to water its III edition of Premi Mapendo, and which soon will present the tale 'Me llamo Agua' (My name is Water), a chance for children so as they can get close in a different, more reflexive way to this resource. The temple of water |
Gloria Valdivia In the World Water Day we were lucky - what we want to share with you- to receive from TDHF (The Direct Help Foundation),with whom we collaborate, a peculiar view of water as a meeting element. Its founder, Toni Aguilar, sent us a story, the 'Pani Mandir' one, The Water Temple, located in the garden of his guesthouse in Katmandu. From Inspira we invite you to know this project better and even to contribute so that his 'Pani Mander' never stops flowing. Read at the web |
