2nd Mapendo Prize on Children Drawing
The spreading task carried out by Fundació Roger Torné includes activities where children can participate and, thus, make them think about the importance of respiratory health and about being in touch with nature.
One of these activities is Children Prize Mapendo Prize that our Foundation announces every year. On 2010 we have invited all the children to reflect, through a drawing and a explanatory sentence, their relationship with mountain. Thus, “The mountain and you” was the title given to the Second Children Drawing Mapendo Prize. The jury has chosen the winner and finalists, according to the contest rules.
The contest winner has been Rocío Cansino, aged 9, from Colegio Sagrada Familia de Urgel, in Sevilla.

The jury opted for her drawing due to the originality and the use of different drawing techniques (watercolors, waxes, colored pencils). It was a very tight result. between this drawing and the one presented by Adriano Fernández, finalist, which was also very appreciated by the jury.

- 1 free familiar ticket to visit CosmoCaixa in order to see the exhibition AIRE. Respiración y salud infantil, a Fundació Roger Torné initiative in collaboration with Fundación La Caixa”, for each participant.
- A guided tour to CosmoCaixa Barcelona to see AIRE in the company of all the winner class at school (the prize does not include displacement to Barcelona nor to CosmoCaixa).
- A big set of painting products of PELIKAN for the winner.
- A set of ten Margarita quiere fabricar montañas books for the winner school library.
- An award for the winner and for the school he/she attends.
- A set of painting products of PELIKAN for each one of the 9 contestants who reach the final.
- A copy of Margarita quiere fabricar montañas book, signed by the authors, for the winner and a copy for each one of the 9 finalist contestants.
Besides, the winner drawing and sentence will illustrate Fundació Roger Torné Chrismas card of 2010.
