The Roger Torné Foundation’s project has been planned in the present-day setting that both nationally and internationally recognises the importance and significance of the relationship existing between health and the environment, with special emphasis on children. Therefore, it must be understood as a project based on three mainstays: health, the environment and children.
Thirty years have gone by since the World Health Organisation (WHO) and UNICEF promoted the holding of a Conference on Primary Healthcare in 1978 in which it approved a new concept of the term health. At this time it started to be considered as a fundamental human right and obtaining this goal become one of the most important social objectives.
